Lara E Frye, MD

Amanda Traficante, PhD is a psychologist with the AHN Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Institute at Jefferson Hospital who specializes in psychological assessment and child and adolescent psychological therapy. Her clinical interests include children and adolescents with social, emotional, and/or behavioral concerns. She meets with patients ages 6-18 or parents/guardians of children with behavioral concerns. She also developed and leads the Chill Behavior Clinic, which is a 6-week virtual group for parents of children with behavioral concerns (kindergarten through fifth grade). She received her Master of Science in Psychology and Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. She completed an APA-accredited Child Clinical Psychology Internship at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania and did her fellowship in Primary Care Behavioral Health between Geisinger Gray’s Woods Clinic in State College, Pennsylvania, and at Geisinger Lewistown Clinic in Lewistown, Pennsylvania. Amanda is a Licensed Psychologist who works with children and adolescents. She has a vast amount of teaching, research, and assessment experience. She has also published in the areas of autism and developmental disorders and given numerous presentations on various field-related research.

Dr. Stiver is a licensed psychologist at the Jefferson Counseling Center specializing in child and adolescent psychology. She is welcoming new patients from six to 21 years old.She completed doctoral training at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, PA, and her residency at Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital in Baltimore, MD, which is affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medicine. She gained additional training in psychological assessment, outpatient therapy, and autism spectrum disorder during a fellowship at Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital as well. Dr. Stiver provides psychological assessment to clarify factors affecting mental health and recommend treatment. She uses cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral approaches to therapy for a wide range of concerns, but is particularly interested in those who may have autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), disruptive behaviors, anxiety, or depression.

Dittmar Counseling Services has been providing therapy to individuals from the Greensburg, Latrobe, Mount Pleasant, North Huntingdon, Jeanette, Ligonier, Irwin, Derry and Delmont communities. We have been serving the Westmoreland County area with therapy for adults, adolescents, families and couples since 2009. Now Dittmar Counseling is able to additionally provide psychiatric medication management for individuals needing medicinal intervention as well. We offer flexible hours for appointments including daytime, evening and weekend hours of service.
