Almo was founded in 1946 when Albert Margolis and Morris Green combined many years of friendship and business experience to start a wholesale distribution firm. The company is called Almo, which is a contraction of the first names of the partners. Almo distributes consumer electronics, wire and cable, major appliances, high-end kitchen appliances, computer products, professional audio and video products and outdoor cooking products to clients throughout the United States. The company has six warehouse locations that provide an extensive inventory, next-day delivery, drop-shipping capability, daily inventory updates and EDI communication for seamless fulfillment services. Clients include air conditioning and heating dealers, appliance dealers, car audio dealers, car dealerships, custom builders, schools, rent-to-own dealers, hotels, aerospace manufacturers, marine pleasure craft manufacturers, electronic manufacturers and railroad companies.
