Founded in 1978, Richter Precision is a company that offers coating processes and coating services. Its focus is directed towards CVD and PVD coatings. In 1981, RPI became an independent CVD coating provider. In 1982, the company expanded its capabilities to include PVD coating services. Since its inception, Richter has designed and manufactured most of its own coating units. The engineers in its research and development department continuously work on improving its processes and its equipment. Its in-house machine shop maintains its self-sufficiency. Richter Precision is among the first companies to provide high-temperature CVD coating on steel components by using special post-coating, vacuum heat-treating processes. Richter Precision has a facility in East Petersburg, Pa.

Operational for over 40 years, Finishing Systems Inc. has been catering to the metal surface preparation needs of manufacturers, foundries, fabricators and contractors. The firm offers a complete line of services, such as blending, etching, paint stripping, deburring, preplate finishing and parts drying, among others. Its list of equipment include metal finishing, air blasting, blast rooms, industrial parts washers, grinders, lathes and spray booths. Located in York, Pa., some of the accessories stocked comprises of tungsten carbide high production nozzles, hose couplings and operator safety equipment.
