Started by Peter Samano (now retired in Florida) in our Springfield, Delaware County office and serving the Delaware Valley for over 45 years, this location is now under the direction of Janice Samano-Piorkowski. We offer a large selection of frames by Oakley and Maui Jim with prescription and non-prescription sunglasses. Our Optometrists are here to serve you with eye examinations, contact lens fittings and professional advice. Dr. Thomas Piorkowski is a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. His internships at the Eye Institute in Philadelphia, Wilmington VA Hospital and Moore Eye Institute allowed him to manage a wide range of glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic patients. Dr. Piorkowski also keeps abreast of the latest technology and recently incorporated a GDx-VCC Glaucoma Screening Device into the practice which allows for the earlier detection of glaucoma compared to traditional methods. Dr. Piorkowski has been with us since 1997 and is a pleasant addition to the Springfield Opticians family.
