History
Our Founder and Artistic & Executive Director, Alie Vidich began leading Schuylkill River performance projects in 2010 with Constants: a performance journey in history along the Schuylkill. From 2010-2011, performers rowed 250 people onto the Schuylkill River during 40 nightly canoe journeys sharing the hidden histories of the Schuylkill through dance, song and visualization. In June 2013, the first Invisible River event debuted. It was a public dance and music concert celebrating the Schuylkill River at the Strawberry Mansion Bridge in East Fairmount Park. Combining the ideas of Constants, in which audiences traveled by boat, and Invisible River 2013's public dance and music spectacles, our 2014 event was a two day public art and boating event. We received 4.5 million press and media impressions with notable spotlights from WHYY, abc 6, nbc 10, and the Philadelphia Inquirer.
