Imara Dissanayake, MD

Dr. Dissanayake is board-certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine. She received her medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand, and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Einstein Medical Center. She completed a fellowship in Nephrology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Dissanayake has extensive research experience and completed training in the ABIM Clinical Investigator Pathway. She has published numerous abstracts and articles in the area of bone mineralization and metabolism. Her areas of interest include diabetes, hypertension, kidney/liver disease, lupus, and anemia.
