Haycock Camping Ministries

Established in the early 1920s, Twin Pines Camp Conference and Retreat Center is a Christian camp providing creative education and other facilities. Based in Stroudsburg, Pa., it offers customers over 20 different summer camp programs and provides facilities for weekend/mid-week retreats and conferences throughout the year. The center includes a wide variety of indoor/outdoor recreational sites and facilities. In addition, it provides state-of-the-art audio visual equipment for presentation purposes. Twin Pines Camp Conference and Retreat Center is a member of the Christian Camp and Conference Association.

Our campers stay in cabins. The girls cabins have a restroom in the cabin while the boys use a central bathhouse. Our camper to counselor ratio has a maximum of 9 to 1. Every cabin also has a support staff member who acts as a junior counselor. This provides two staff members who stay in the cabin with the campers each night. Most of our camp sessions are five days long and start on Monday morning and end on Saturday morning. Our Junior Mini-Week begins on Thursday morning and ends Saturday morning. Our activities include: volleyball, basketball, campfires, swimming ( in our pool ), cookouts, canoeing, paintball, archery, river-tubing and all kinds of games. There's never a dull moment at New Life Island! Our counselors are college age or older. They are chosen because of their Christian testimony, and their desire to serve the Lord and help young people. All of our staff must pass a background check. We have a special speaker for each week of camp. Our speakers are chosen because of their ability to effectively communicate the truths of the Word of God with our campers. We want our campers to learn lessons that they can take home with them and put into practice. Because our primary ministry is Christian Education all campers are required to attend all chapel services. Overall the Island is a great place for anyone to come and hear the Word of God, relax, and go away edified, better prepared to live their day to day Christian life.
