Passavant Retirement Community offers a range of health care and rehabilitation services for senior citizens. It offers nursing and nutritional counseling services, as well as physical, occupational and speech therapies. The community also provides medication management, catheter care, feeding, bathing, meal preparation, linen washing, and transferring and positioning services. In addition, Passavant Retirement Community offers various specialized medical services, including wound, pain, neurological, dementia and respiratory management. The community also conducts several Alzheimer s disease care programs. Located in Zelienople, Pa., Passavant Retirement Community is a part of Lutheran SeniorLife, which additionally operates St. John Specialty Care Center and Crown Pointe Butler, Crown Pointe Greensburg and LIFE Beaver County communities.

Since the 80th Anniversary of the Bethlen Home in 2001, we've started to compile a database of names and addresses of persons who once lived at the Children's Home. We held reunions in 2001 and 2003. Volunteers provide friendly visits, sometimes staying with the patient while the caregiver is out of the home. They are good listeners who provide emotional and spiritual support, run errands, read to the patient, pray together, help organize family photos and mementos, watch TV together.
