Allegheny Riding Camp, located in Tyrone, Pa., is a branch of the Grier School, a private boarding school for girls founded in 1853. The riding camp s facilities include horse stables, riding paddocks, an indoor riding arena, tennis courts, gymnasium, swimming pool, dance and art studios and an athletic field. Allegheny Riding Camp offers horseback riding lessons, arts and crafts, dance, theater, sports and games, special events, evening programs and field trips. It also operates a seven-week summer English as Second Language program that provides daily classroom instruction and weekend trips to popular destinations in the United States.
