Founded in 1978, Richter Precision is a company that offers coating processes and coating services. Its focus is directed towards CVD and PVD coatings. In 1981, RPI became an independent CVD coating provider. In 1982, the company expanded its capabilities to include PVD coating services. Since its inception, Richter has designed and manufactured most of its own coating units. The engineers in its research and development department continuously work on improving its processes and its equipment. Its in-house machine shop maintains its self-sufficiency. Richter Precision is among the first companies to provide high-temperature CVD coating on steel components by using special post-coating, vacuum heat-treating processes. Richter Precision has a facility in East Petersburg, Pa.

Dura-Bond Industries, founded in 1960, provides corrosion protection services for fabricated steel products. It operates through four business units that include line pipe manufacturing, steel fabrication, pipe coating and a short line railroad. It manufactures steel line pipes for the transmission of natural gas and oil products through fluoroscopy, radiography, ultrasonic and visual inspection techniques. It represents and distributes products of various companies, such as Fisher, Pro-Mark Utility Supply, Polyken Corporation, Tyco Adhesives and Thunderline Corporation. Its products include flange insulators, detectors, casing end seal, scraper cups and discs, tape wraps, self-laminating tags, poly ground tags, petrolatum tapes and pastes and primers. Dura-Bond Industries is headquartered in Export and has a branch office in Steelton, Pa.

Plas-Tech Coatings was founded in 1978 by Thomas W. Sloan. After many years in the fluoropolymers industry (including employment at Allied Chemical Solvay and Whitford Corp./PPG), Tom recognized the need for and developed a strong interest in providing industry with an elite source for the application of fluoropolymer coatings. Precise techniques, rigid quality control, superior knowledge, dependable delivery, and great respect for the art and science of coating application are the hallmarks upon which Plas-Tech was founded. Maintaining a dedication to these ideals has been the cornerstone to our success.
