Pittsburgh, PA 15219

Forbes Field, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was a historic baseball stadium that served as the home of the Pittsburgh Pirates from its opening on June 30, 1909, until its last game on June 28, 1970. Known for its ivy-covered brick walls and iconic dimensions, the stadium held a capacity of up to 35,000 spectators and was notable for its unique features, including the Longines clock atop the left-field scoreboard and the famous Greenberg Gardens.

The stadium, designed by Osborn Engineering and constructed by Nicole Construction Company, hosted many memorable moments, including Babe Ruth's last three home runs in 1935. After its demolition in 1971, parts of the original site were repurposed for the University of Pittsburgh, with remnants of the field still visible today, including the center-field and right-center brick walls.
