History

Five Virtues is a healing practice that integrates both the knowledge of Western medicine with the love of Chinese medicine. It was also important to provide people with the opportunity for lower cost treatments without sacrificing the quality. Five Virtues is the ONLY acupuncture clinic certified in Contemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis (CCPD) and a second classical pulse diagnosis based off Li Zhi Shen and classical texts such as the Mai Jing. A strong foundation in pulse diagnosis barely exists in this country anymore, but it was classically the foundation for diagnosing real symptomatic and root causes diagnoses. Specialties

At Five Virtues Center for Acupuncture, we take an integrative and holistic approach focusing on the individual. A specialized, classical pulse diagnosis called Contemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis (CCPD) is performed, which allows the practitioner to truly treat not only the symptoms, but the underlying root to all the manifestations occurring in the body. This pulse system is able to identify reflections of past traumas and insults, current states of disharmony and the potential for future pathologies and disease. Within this system, the practitioner designs an individual healing plan to fit the needs of the patient. This includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, essential oils, lifestyle and nutritional changes specific to the pulse findings and needs of the patient.
