The Pennsylvania Professional Fire Fighters Association (PPFFA) has established the Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial Committee to create a dedicated site and ceremony honoring fallen firefighters from Pennsylvania. Since September 2014, the committee has worked to ensure that the sacrifices of these heroes are recognized with a fitting and lasting tribute.

The mission of the PPFFA includes promoting the association positively, providing dignified memorial services for fallen members, and supporting their surviving family members and union colleagues during times of need. An annual statewide tribute will commemorate the bravery of those who lost their lives in the line of duty at the memorial located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
