Glove House, established in 1970, is a nonprofit organization that undertakes community-based programs and provides food and shelter support to youth, children and families throughout New York. It offers prevention and treatment services for children suffering from emotional strain, mental disorders and domestic violence. The services offered by the organization include individual and family counseling, crises intervention and psychiatric support, advocacy, and respite and therapeutic foster boarding. It also provides personality development classes, vocational training and mental health programs to residents. Glove House is a member of the Council of Family and Child Caring Agencies, and is located in Elmira, N.Y.
