Ecumenical Retirement Community

The Ecumenical Community is a nonprofit organization that provides retirement living for senior citizens. Located in Harrisburg, Pa., it offers a variety of residential options. Its independent living program includes various services, such as prepared meals, weekly housekeeping, household maintenance and 24-hour emergency support. It also provides an assisted living program that includes scheduled transportation and spiritual, social and recreational opportunities. Ecumenical Community provides special programs for individuals with memory-related disorders and Alzheimer's disease. Its campus includes a beauty parlor, barbershop, dinning hall and picnic area with walking paths and gazebos. It also offers on-site physical and occupational therapies. Its residents participate in a number of activities, such as baking, crafts and piano lessons and community outreach programs. It has several clubs, including the hiking, garden and hospitality clubs.
