What a fun experience, The owner was very pleasant to talk I loved hearing the history about the store. I ordered two scoops of chocolate and I loved how it was served in a glass ice cream bowl.

As you enter Eckels Ice Cream Fountain, you will take a step back in time. This 50's style soda fountain brings back memories for many who grew up in the 50's and 60's era, while creating new memories for the younger generation. The original soda fountain and marble counter remain, as does the wooden tables and glass shelving. There is also a pharmacy museum filled with original pharmaceutical items like old band aids, medications, and medical tools. Eckels has a lunch menu, serving hot dogs, soup and sandwiches. Old fashion drinks and coke products. Hard dipped Hershey's Ice Cream, served in old fashion glass dishes or handmade waffle cones. Servings are generous and affordable. Eckels is very famous for making an appearance in the Hollywood classic,"Girl Interrupted", featuring Angelina Jolie, Winona Ryder and Whoppi Goldberg.
