Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center, established in 1936 and located in Lancaster, Pa., is a nonprofit organization that provides family-centered education and therapy programs for infants, children and adolescents with disabilities and developmental delays. It provides a wide range of programs and services, including physical, speech and occupational therapies, social services, assistive technology, social services, recreational programs, services for families, and disabilities awareness program. Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center operates Seeking, Teaching and Reaching Stars Preschool that provides a wide range of programs for children with disabilities to understand, accept and value human diversity through inclusive classrooms. Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center was earlier known as the Society for Crippled Children and Adults, and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

The first step for any new Reading-Berks patient is to work with a dedicated physical therapist quite often a Doctor of Physical Therapy, to establish your custom, Patient COMPASS (Core Objectives Management Plan and Success Strategy). This plan is specifically designed to set goals and expectations, and help guide you throughout the therapy process. This plan, in conjunction with some of our other features such as your Reading-Berks HealthCoach, or our Schedules that Work, are all designed to help you and your family get back to doing the things you love.
