County Commissioners

Established in 1997, COMCARE is an intergovernmental cooperation agreement, affiliated with County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania, and provides services to various Pennsylvania counties. It provides resources to assist with the implementation and administration of managed behavioral health care, and makes available insurance coverage for the counties that provide behavioral managed health care. It also effectuates cost savings in the procuring and administration of managed behavioral health care, and provides advice and information concerning documentation, contracts, processes, and various aspects of managed behavioral health care. COMCARE also provides financial assistance to counties for implementing and administrating managed behavioral health care services. It is located in Harrisburg, Pa.
