Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority
The Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority (LCSWMA) is dedicated to managing the trash and recyclable materials generated by homes and businesses in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, as well as from the City of Harrisburg and surrounding Dauphin County communities. Established in 1954, LCSWMA employs an Integrated System approach to waste disposal and processing, which not only conserves landfill capacity but also generates clean renewable energy.
