Congregation Shaarai Shomayim

Congregation Shaarai Shomayim is one of the oldest Jewish communities in the United States. Located in Lancaster, Pa., the community offers a full range of traditional Jewish worship services and group activities to its member and visitors. It features sisterhood and brotherhood organizations, youth groups, a traditional choir and contemporary music band called The Chopped Liver River Band. Additionally, Congregation Shaarai Shomayim houses a religious school, offering a full spectrum of Jewish education programs. It is affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) and World Union for Progressive Judaism (WUPJ).
