City Mission Thrift Shop in Monongahela, PA is a Christ-centered rehabilitative homeless shelter that has been serving Southwestern Pennsylvania since 1941. They provide food, shelter, case management, Christian-based counseling, and life-changing programming to help individuals who have descended into homelessness, hunger, and despair. Their goal is to facilitate the transformation of each person who walks through their doors into a healthy, productive member of society.
City Mission offers two branches of service - Compassionate Care, which provides basic services such as meals, shelter, and medical care to those in need, and the Life Recovery Program, which assists individuals and families in crisis who are seeking life transformation. They rely on the generous donations of time and treasure from the community and businesses to continue their work and bring hope to those hurting in the region.
