About Established in 1977, Transport Unlimited is a family-owned business that began as an agency representing a few truckload carriers. In addition, our interest and talent in hauling specialized freight was growing and we began purchasing equipment of our own to handle what we termed "super loads." As our scope of knowledge and contacts broadened, our business relationships developed in a positive manner, and our success escalated. We bought more equipment and property and invested in systems technology to manage key areas of service and compliance. In 1986, we moved from a trailer on a truck stop parking lot to a 2700 square foot office building on a 13 acre piece of property in Pittsburgh, PA. In nine years, more by accident than design, we had built a viable operation and all we had done was provide consistent, on-time service at competitive rates. Shippers remembered us for doing a quality job, and carriers and drivers remembered us for treating them right and paying them a fair price for their labor. It's a process that works. Over three decades later ; we are still providing consistent, on-time truckload and heavy haul service at competitive rates.
