Central School

Mercy Special Learning Center provides education to children and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Located in Allentown, Pa., the centre offers a range of classroom instruction, work experience and weekly specials programs. It also provides classes in adapted physical education, art/liturgical music, music therapy, speech as well as occupational and physical therapy for the children. Mercy Special Learning Center also organizes several group activities, such as field trips, good shepherd and special field day.

Louis E. Dieruff High School has music, art, business education, English, guidance, math and world languages departments. The school s curriculum also includes consumer science, social studies, and physical and technology education. It offers membership for art, chess, computer, debate, drama, international, key, marching, science, ski and weightlifting clubs. Louis E. Dieruff High School operates several organizations, including the Future Educators of America, German National Honor Society, National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. The school s library houses a collection of textbooks, encyclopedias, atlases, dictionaries, magazines, and fiction and nonfiction books. It serves students in grades 9 through 12. Located in Allentown, Pa., Louis E. Dieruff High School is a part of the Allentown School District.
