The Curtis Institute of Music trains gifted young musicians for careers as performing artists. Founded in 1924, the institute is one of the leading music schools in Pennsylvania. It enrolls more than 160 students annually. The Curtis Institute of Music offers a range of bachelor s and master s degree programs in music. The institute offers public performances, including orchestra concerts, operas, and solo and chamber music recitals. In addition, it offers classes related to orchestral instruments, such as strings, harp, woodwinds, brass, timpani and percussion.
