Established in 1979, Cathedral Village is a nonprofit and multicultural continuing care retirement community located in Philadelphia. It is spread over an area of more than 40 acres that includes a health club, greenhouse, art studios, and outpatient, nursing and Alzheimer's disease care center. The community offers a variety of services that include housekeeping, in-house maintenance and 24-hour security services. Its security department provides transportation to local shopping areas and hospitals. The community's health club features a fitness center, swimming pool, massage room and dressing rooms. It also operates a college that provides classes in various subjects and topics, including creative writing, current events, history, and arts and crafts.
