The Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department, established in 1916, provides mutual aid to the people of Upper St. Clair, South Fayette, Collier Township, Scott Township, Heidelberg, Carnegie and Cecil in Pennsylvania. It operates the Dodge pickup, American LaFrance heavy pumper, Salisbury rescue truck and Pierce ladder tower. The department maintains a ladies auxiliary group that assists firefighters in their community efforts. The Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department conducts vehicle and water rescue and smoke training classes for members. It additionally provides Chartiers Room, which accommodates up to 300 guests for wedding receptions, anniversary parties, corporate events, and baby and bridal showers.
