Brendan A. Williams, MD is an attending pediatric orthopaedic surgeon with the Division of Orthopaedics and the Sports Medicine and Performance Center at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He specializes in the arthroscopic treatment of knee, shoulder, elbow, and ankle conditions, with expertise in ACL reconstruction in elite athletes, meniscus repair, patella dislocation and instability repair, and treatment of cartilage lesions. Dr. Williams is dedicated to mentoring and teaching, working closely with families to provide information and tools for healing and improvement.
Along with his clinical role, Dr. Williams is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He is actively involved in research on reconstructive procedures for anterior cruciate ligament injuries and patellar dislocations, as well as pain management practices and reducing opioid consumption following orthopaedic procedures. Outside of work, Dr. Williams enjoys running, basketball, dancing, hiking, and traveling, and he and his wife are actively involved in a nonprofit organization that aims to improve the health and well-being of children locally and abroad.
