Boy Scouts of America

Founded in 2007, Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania is one of the leading development organizations for girls with 3.4 million girl and adult members worldwide. Based in Harrisburg, Pa., it serves more than 27,000 girl members, ages five to seventeen in 2,637 troops. The organization offers programs in the categories of development, education, emotional stableness as well as social needs of girls. Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania organizes various events and activities, including Girl Scout days, interest groups and patch programs. It serves 30 counties in central and northeastern Pennsylvania.

The Valley Forge Scout Shop is a part of the Cradle of Liberty Council of The Boy Scouts of America. Located in Wayne, Pa., the shop features a variety of scouting clothing, supplies, camping equipment and awards. The Boy Scouts of America offers educational programs for boys and young adults to build character and develop personal fitness. Its scout camps are inspected and accredited annually by teams of trained volunteers to ensure the health, safety and quality of programs for campers.

The Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania serves over 50,000 girls between the ages of 5 and 17 in Berks, Bucks, Carbon, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton and Philadelphia counties in Pennsylvania. Founded in 2007, it is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization with 17,000 adult volunteers. The organization s camps offer a variety of activities, such as archery, arts and crafts, horseback riding and hiking. It also provides Girl Scouts, a values-based and informal educational program. The organization is a part of the Girl Scouts of the United States of America, which is a youth organization for girls in the United States and American girls living abroad. Founded in 1912, the parent organization is based on the scouting principles developed by Robert Baden-Powell.
