Dr. Tickner has been providing eye care for the patients in Northeastern Pennsylvania since 2003. As a board certified Optometrist, Dr. Tickner takes great pride in staying ahead of the curve in regards to technological advances in the Eye Care field. He treats his patients as though he would treat his family. Everybody deserves to be treated that way. Dr. Tickner has degrees from Millersville University, The University of Scranton and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He graduated with honors receiving the prestigious Justin Roddy Memorial Award for best teacher and the Alcon Award for Clinical Excellence given to one graduating doctor each year for clinical excellence. Before becoming an Optometrist, Dr. Tickner taught at Pine Run Elementary School in Central Bucks School District and at Delaware Valley Middle School in Milford. As a former school teacher he relates to children in a way most other doctors do not. We offer routine eye exams for people of all ages. Dr. James Tickner and his friendly staff will give you personalized service that best suits the needs of you and your family. Dr. James Tickner is available for immediate treatment in the event of a medical emergency. Additionally, Dr. James Tickner is experienced and proficient in the treatment of cataracts. Our office is conveniently located in Lake Ariel, which is just minutes from Lake Wallenpaupack, Honesdale, Hamlin, Scranton, and Greentown. We have a great selection of brand name designer frames to choose from. If you're on a budget, we also have an assortment of more modestly priced frames. In addition to our inventory of designer and budget frames, we can also create custom frames to your exact specifications.
