History

In a world of grande sugary caffeinated drinks, it was hard to find a basic cup of coffee that wasn't considered swill. You know the stuff; that black tar of burnt and bitterness sitting on a burner all day long. No longer did I want to settle for that junk cup. Out of quiet desperation, and after being stood up at a professional baseball game, Benchwarmers Coffee was born. There was a chill to the air in the stadium that day, beer wouldn't do (i know..), so I walked around the stadium looking for a cup of coffee. Surely, there would be at least one stand selling coffee. Each vendor after another telling me to try the next stand. Alas, no coffee in the entire stadium. As I sat watching the game next to an empty plastic stadium seat, I couldn't help but think about why the stadium didn't have at least pot of coffee somewhere. All I know is that the Phillies lost that game and I had come up with a crazy business plan for a coffee business.

Specialties

Benchwarmers Coffee is a micro roaster of specailty coffee. All our coffee is directly sourced from the farm, farmer or cooperative, from which it was grown and curlticated. We roast our coffee to it's peak taste/ flavor profile, letting the cultivator's hard work shine through.
