The Boys & Girls Club-Scranton is one of the many clubs of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Based in Scranton, Pa., the club offers programs in five-core areas that include character and leadership, education and career development, health and life skills, the arts and sports, fitness and recreation. In sports, the club offers basketball, football, dodgeball, girls gym and a games room with pool, ping pong and darts. PowerUP technology center, at B&GC comprises of nonprofit organizations, major corporations and state and federal government agencies that have joined together to ensure that America s underserved youth acquires the skills and resources they need to succeed in the digital age. PowerUp has provided the Boys and Girls Club with 10 Pentium 4 computers and the equipment to network them all together and connect them to the Internet.
