American Rescue Workers (ARW) is a faith-based non-profit organization that has been providing homelessness and hunger prevention services in Lycoming County since 1934. ARW aims to meet the basic needs of individuals in emergency situations or facing homelessness through shelter programs and social services.
With a mission of repurposing clothing, shoes, and lives, ARW annually donates over 3.5 million pounds of clothes, houses 750 individuals, and provides over 386,000 meals to shelter residents and community members. Support their mission by donating items, giving online, or volunteering to make a difference in the community.
