Alexander H. Shannon, MD Alexander H. Shannon, MD, is a surgical oncologist, specializing in gastrointestinal oncology, peritoneal surface malignancies, and metastatic colorectal, hepatobiliary, and neuroendocrine cancers. He has expertise in robotic surgery, hepatic arterial infusion therapy, and cytoreduction surgery with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). Dr. Shannon earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville. He received additional training through a fellowship in complex general surgical oncology at The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital in Columbus. Dr. Shannon is board certified in general surgery and in complex general surgical oncology by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology. Having grown up in Pittsburgh, Dr. Shannon is grateful to be able give back and help people in this community. He welcomes patients ages 18 and older.

Dr. Tiberio has authored numerous publications, received several teaching and research awards, and has presented his work at regional, national and international conferences. Dr. Tiberio is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. He is excited to join the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care at Allegheny Health Network, where he will continue to pursue his passion in medical education and his love for clinical care, with a particular interest in ICU delirium, sedation of ventilated patients, and post-intensive care syndrome. Dr. Tiberio is looking forward to caring for adult patients throughout the greater Pittsburgh area.
