Emily Fazio, PA-C Emily Fazio, PA-C, is a surgical physician assistant specializing in minimally invasive surgery and endoscopic therapy for esophageal cancer, Barrett’s esophagus, esophageal motility disorders, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. Her clinical interests include swallowing disorders, dysplasia, laryngopharyngeal reflux, gastroparesis, paraesophageal hernia, Zenker’s diverticulum, and diverticular disease. Emily earned both her bachelor’s degree in health sciences and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Emily is committed to providing specialized, multidisciplinary care with a holistic approach to improve patient well-being. She welcomes patients ages 18 and older.

Cody J. McGee, MD Cody J. McGee, MD, is a general and bariatric surgeon with AHN Surgery Institute. He specializes in weight loss, hernia, and acid reflux surgeries, including both general and bariatric procedures. Dr. McGee provides patient-centered care with a focus on obesity and hernia management. He attended medical school at the State University of New York Upstate Campus in Syracuse, New York. Dr. McGee completed his residency at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, followed by a fellowship in bariatric surgery at AHN West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. McGee welcomes patients ages 18 and older.

Dr. Komatsu is a fellowship-trained surgeon who treats patients with esophageal and gastric cancer, GERD/reflux disease, Barrett’s esophagus, hiatal hernia, paraesophageal hernia, achalasia, gastroparesis, esophageal and gastric motility disorders, Zenker’s diverticulum, and swallowing disorders. Dr. Komatsu has fellowship training in minimally invasive esophageal and gastric surgery and advanced endoscopy. He is also certified in robotic surgery and offers this approach to many patients. Dr. Komatsu completed his general surgery residency at Juntendo University Shizuoka Hospital in Shizuoka, Japan, where he also served as a clinical fellow. He continued his postdoctoral training as a research associate at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His research work continued as a study coordinator at the Allegheny Singer Research Institute, Allegheny Health Network. He then completed his minimally invasive surgery and advanced endoscopy fellowship training at the Esophageal and Lung Institute at Allegheny Health Network. He has published articles and book chapters of his research work and presented his findings to medical audiences at annual meetings and conferences.
