He participates in studies regarding proper myasthenia gravis diagnosis and therapy and was part of the initial study of Onabotulinum (Botox A) prior to its FDA approval. Director and founder of the ACGME approved Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at AGH since 2002, Dr. Small is also director and founder of the Myasthenia Gravis Association Clinic of Western Pennsylvania (MGAWPA) at AGH. He is a member of the Medical Advisory Board of the National Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America (MGFA). He speaks English.
