Alan R Catanzariti, DPM

Dr. Gregory Altman is co-division director, Orthopaedic Trauma, for Allegheny General Hospital (AGH). He is an expert in the field of sports and traumatic orthopaedic injuries. He specializes in complex knee and shoulder reconstruction. Additionally, he treats complex extremity and pelvic fractures. Dr. Altman earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. After completing a fellowship at the University of Rochester in Sports Medicine, he served as a clinical fellow and instructor in Orthopaedic Trauma at Harvard Medical School/The Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to returning to his native Pittsburgh, he served as the director of Orthopaedic Trauma at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School. Currently, Dr. Altman is associate professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, Drexel University School of Medicine. He has served as the vice chairman of Orthopaedic Surgery at AGH since 2007. Dr. Altman directs the Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship at AHN. Dr. Altman has extensive publications in professional journals, including The Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma, American Journal of Sports Medicine, and The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. He has authored multiple book chapters and has been invited to speak at national and international meetings. Currently, his basic science research focuses on ACL injuries and improving fracture healing. Dr. Altman is a member of numerous medical societies and committees. These include the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, and the Pan American Trauma Society. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with additional certification in sports medicine. He speaks English.

Dr. Hentges specializes in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, diabetic Charcot foot, and ankle deformities. He treats patients with arthritis of the foot and ankle, sports-related injuries of the foot and ankle, and diabetes related complications of the foot and ankle. He is experienced at performing external fixation of the foot and ankle for complex foot and ankle reconstruction. He speaks English.

Dr. Saltrick treats patients with foot and ankle trauma, performing wound care for the foot and ankle, diabetic limb salvage, and elective foot and ankle surgery. He has a clinical interest in these conditions, as well as elective reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. He is board-certified in wound care and foot and ankle surgery. He is experienced at managing complex wounds and sports medicine injuries. He speaks English.
