Agency For Community Empowerment of Neta
The Agency for Community Empowerment of NEPA (ACE) was established in 1965 as part of a national network of Community Action Agencies, created under the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964. With a mission to empower individuals to achieve self-sufficiency, ACE administers a variety of programs aimed at alleviating poverty through education, training, and support services across Lackawanna, Pike, Susquehanna, and Wayne Counties.
Over the past five decades, ACE has expanded its offerings to include early learning programs, workforce initiatives, and veterans support services, among others. The agency relies heavily on volunteer work from the low-income community to promote school readiness and assist families in overcoming the challenges associated with poverty.
