Our doctors are experts in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses caused by microorganisms. If you have an infectious disease, we work closely with the doctor who has been treating you. We treat all acute or complicated infectious diseases, including: -Wound infections -Complicated respiratory infections -HIV/AIDS -Fever of unknown origin -Bone infections -MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) infections -Cellulitis To ensure the best possible care, we see patients only by appointment and only by referral from your treating physician. Stem Cell Patients Following a stem cell transplant, you will likely need to receive several vaccinations to protect your health. LVPG Infectious Diseases–1255 Cedar Crest has developed a vaccine clinic just for you. About six months after your stem cell transplant, you can begin to receive needed vaccinations against diseases like flu, measles, chicken pox, etc. Schedule your first appointment by calling 888-402-LVHN (5846). Following that, you can schedule future appointments through your MyLVHN account. Travel Medicine We offer complete travel health consultations by a team comprised of doctors with fellowship training in infectious diseases and advanced practice clinicians who have training in travel medicine. Our recommendations on vaccines and travel behavior are customized to reduce your health risks during international travel. (For general information on what vaccines might be recommended for a specific country, please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.) You can choose either an in-person appointment or a video visit for your initial consultation. At the time of an in-person visit, you can receive travel vaccines and we will write you prescriptions for any necessary medications. If you choose a video visit, we can schedule a convenient time to come in to receive any necessary vaccines, and prescription medications are sent to your preferred pharmacy. Please call us to schedule your appointment four to six weeks prior to your trip. Depending on the time of year, our appointments book up to four weeks out. Also, your body will need two to four weeks to build immunity from any vaccines received. If you are seeking care for a patient under age 18, please visit LVPG Pediatric Infectious Diseases–1210 Cedar Crest. ,
