West African Cultural Arts Institute (WACAI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Eugene, Oregon, dedicated to sharing the joy and passion of Guinean culture through vibrant educational programs focusing on music and dance. Founded in 2007 by Alseny Yansane and Andrea DiPalma Yansane, WACAI offers drum and dance classes, school residencies, performances, and community outreach events.

Committed to connecting with students and communities both locally and internationally, WACAI's board of directors and volunteers, many of whom are past students, are deeply invested in making the transformative power of authentic Guinean dance, music, and culture accessible to diverse audiences. Through their programs and initiatives, WACAI aims to foster cultural exchange and appreciation while honoring the rich traditions of Guinea.
