The Wayne Lyman Morse United States Courthouse in Eugene, Oregon, completed in 2006, is a six-story federal courthouse overlooking the Willamette River. Designed by architect Thom Mayne, the 266,742-square-foot building houses six courtrooms, offices for federal agencies, and earned LEED Gold certification for energy efficiency.
Constructed by JE Dunn Construction, the courthouse replaced the old Eugene Federal Building and was the first new federal courthouse to achieve LEED Gold certification. The project, which began in 1999, aimed to enhance security measures while maintaining an open and inviting atmosphere within the structure.
