The Talent Historical Society (THS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Talent, Oregon. With a commitment to providing safe and equitable access to their museums and services, THS values and serves the entire community. They have undertaken the ambitious Talent Town in Flames Documentation Project, which includes a book, an online blog, and a fire documentation exhibit, all aimed at documenting the Almeda Fire and its impact on the town. THS has received generous grants from sponsors such as the Talent Business Alliance, Jackson County Cultural Coalition, Pacific Power and Light, the City of Talent, and the Oregon Cultural Trust, which have enabled them to promote and hold special events, translate stories into Spanish, create a blog, design the book, and fund the exhibit.
