Rogue Valley Symphony Association

Rogue Valley Symphony, established in 1967 and located in Ashland, Ore., is a paid regional orchestra. It provides a wide range of symphonic concerts in Ashland, Medford, and Grants Pass. The organization introduces young people to classical music. Rogue Valley Symphony plays for more than 3,500 Ashland and Medford elementary students during a marathon day of back-to-back concerts. It provides free vouchers for music students throughout the season, and each season a string ensemble drawn from the orchestra gives live classroom demonstrations to over 60 schools throughout Southern Oregon. Rogue Valley Symphony performs various concerts, such as winner's circle rhapsody, romance of the horns, candlelight concerts, dancing with Beethoven, and Valentine s Day romance.
