History

Jim Hart, a native Texan started Road Runner BBQ after he retired from his job as a meat cutter. He couldn't find good Texas BBQ in Portland so Jim and his wife Pauline made it happen. Jim is the master of the delicious Mesquite smoked meats and Pauline's amazing recipes for all the sides and BBQ sauce. In 2016 after Jimmy past away, daughter Tammy carries on his legacy.

Specialties

Road Runner BBQ serves Mesquite Smoked Texas BBQ which means we dry rub and smoke our meat. We do not serve our meat sauced up, as its so delicious alone. We offer our very own mild and hot bbq sauce for you to add. * Please know that if we do sell out we will be closed so if its later in the day, please call
