My friend and I hiked a 6-mile loop at the start of November (one of SW Trails self-led routes) and our final section led us up from Macadam up to the trailhead in the Collins View neighborhood....

River View Natural Area is a scenic park located in Portland, Oregon. Managed by Portland Parks & Recreation, the area is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the natural resources of the park through science-based management practices.
The park features a trail system designed to be compatible with the protection of the natural resources, and offers opportunities for environmental interpretation and research.
