"Why the name Purple Cow?" When deciding on a name for Purple Cow Vineyards, the founders wanted something as unique and memorable as the wines that we produce. Purple Cow embodies anti-conformity when it comes to the uncommon varietals that we utilize and winemaking techniques used. Therefore, it was decided early on that our name should set us apart from the rest of the wineries located in the WIllamette Valley. Purple Cow Vineyards grow vines such as Pinot Noir, Marechal Foch, Muscat, Tempranillo, Durif and Teroldego. We seek to offer respective single varietals, as well as unique blends. Taste for yourself and draw your own conclusions!
