Providence Substance Abuse Treatment

The Providence Health & Services Adult Outpatient Substance Use Treatment Program offers intensive outpatient and outpatient treatment services for adults with substance use disorders. We offer evidence-based treatment that encourages patients to take responsibility for their health and empowers them to develop their own solutions to the problems or challenges related to their use of alcohol and other substances.

Bellingham Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), which is located in Bellingham, Washington, provides outpatient medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older of all genders who are struggling with an addiction to heroin, prescription painkillers, or other opioids. MAT is an evidence-based type of opioid addiction treatment that is proven to improve patient outcomes.At Bellingham CTC, MAT for opioid addiction combines prescription medication and counseling to help adults work toward recovery. Patients may receive a prescription for methadone, buprenorphine, or Suboxone, and they may also participate in individual and group counseling sessions, which add a therapeutic component to the treatment process.
