The Port of Portland is a public agency that supports the operations of local businesses throughout the city of Portland in Oregon. It operates more than $1 billion of marine and aviation transportation infrastructure and real estate assets that generate revenues of over $250 million annually. The agency is responsible for the maintenance and operations of airports, railroads and marine terminals. It coordinates the Small Business Development Program, which offers access to business procurements and projects. The agency additionally provides information and resources to architectures, engineers and design consultants for various development projects within the city. It offers a range of community outreach and environmental assessment programs. The agency provides audit reporting, infrastructure development, planning and budgeting services. The Port of Portland has a staff of more than 800 employees, as well as operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
