MAT is an evidence-based type of opioid addiction treatment that is proven to improve patient outcomes.At Bellingham CTC, MAT for opioid addiction combines prescription medication and counseling to help adults work toward recovery. Patients may receive a prescription for methadone, buprenorphine, or Suboxone, and they may also participate in individual and group counseling sessions, which add a therapeutic component to the treatment process.
