Stretching 40 miles between Coos Bay and Florence along the Oregon coast, Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area offers acres of shifting sand dunes, lakes, wildlife viewing, picnicking, camping and beach access. Popular among off-highway vehicle enthusiasts and those who prefer non-motorized fun, the area features diverse terrain perfect for bicycling, sandboarding, hiking, horseback riding, canoeing and scenic driving. Part of the Siuslaw National Forest, the area also offers camping.
