HistoryThe nonprofit High Desert Makers incorporated in July, 2013 and has been bringing activities and events throughout Central Oregon since. In early 2015, a partnership with Cascade Divide Datacenters established the makerspace on the Columbia Campus. A true community makerspace, the building is being spruced up and equipment brought in. Workshops, classes, events, and activities started in early May and as work areas come online, the value and usability of the space will continue to increase.
